Marketing Secrets You Won't Find Anywhere Else On This Website… And You'd Be Hard Pushed To Get Them Anyplace Else!
Enough - let's get the party started.
Getting Started - Learning The Basics
I have a question I've been struggling with. How do I REALLY find a profitable niche? (Especially concerning info-products) Just because something is searched for doesn't mean it is a profitable market where people are willing to pay money to buy information about it. Plus, when it comes to keyword research, some 'gurus' say 50,000 searches a month or more means the competition is too fierce or the topic is too broad, it's not specific enough to find buyers, etc. Others say a market is only worth being in if it has at least 50,000 searches/month or more. Then others say you should choose a targeted niche market with more specific keywords/key phrases. But more specific keyword phrases get less than 10,000 searches a month. In fact, many get as little as 2,000, 1,000 or 500 searches a month. Is this too small a target market? How small is too small? How big is too big?

The style is fairly straightforward and usually inclusive to a single page - a large "gotcha" headline, and audio clip, many testimonials and well-written copy that intentionally goes on and on.

Dan, When dealing with a new client (especially offline clients), what is the best way to track "their" sales, so you don't get screwed out of any commissions you have coming for writing their ad copy?
I sell wedding invitations on one site, christmas cards on another and birth announcements on a third. People come to my site because they are already looking for what I sell and want to see if they like what I am offering. My main goal is to convice them to buy from me rather than another site that is offering a lot of the same sort of things. Do you think I need a long sales letter to convince them and to establish rapport or do think just a few bullets is all they will read because they probably primarily they just want to see my selection? My son (who is pretty internet savy) thinks my homepages are too wordy and that my potential customer are not going to read it. - that they just want to see what I have and compare prices etc. Thanks for your help!
