It’s Not Failure You Are More Afraid Of, It’s Actually Success

I was consulting with one of my coaching clients the other day, and after some heavy strategizing, we came up with a winning plan for increasing her conversions.
This new strategy – for all intents and purposes – had every possibility of doubling or tripling her sales quickly.
After all this, you would think that she would be excited.
But I noticed some hesitance in her voice.
She started bringing up “issues” that she would have to deal with if all the sudden her business increased.
She was thinking about all the things she would have to “do” once sales really started picking up.
Customer service… merchant accounts…suppliers… employee issues – the list went on and on.
Finally I called her out for being negative.
At first, she went on the defensive, saying that she was just being pragmatic.
But eventually I convinced her that all she was doing was worrying herself about the UNKNOWN.
She sincerely believed that the plan was going to increase her sales and potentially double or triple her income (improving her financial situation and therefore her LIFE)... but at the time she didn’t see that.
All she could see was that she was headed into “unknown territory”...and it scared her!
Some people actually have a fear of success.
I was one of them.
“A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. You must break out of your current comfort zone and become comfortable with the unfamiliar and the unknown.”
– Denis Waitley

P.S. Still don’t want to take the steps to make thousands online? Read these email testimonials from a few of Lanty’s members…

Like Jo Han Mok says the little guy can succeed. My problem is how do I start a internet business with no money? I am in poverty e-mailing you from a location where my neighbor allows me to use his unsecured network WIFI. I have no unemployment benefits and have no job thus no income how can I use your great teaching aids and advice without any money? The answer is I cant until I can break free from this poverty stronghold on my life, nothing is ever going to change except each day I’m older and one day closer to death.
Hi Dan.
My stomach does flip flops when I get exposure or success. Maybe it is a matter of believing
that we do deserve good things. I am getting used to it though, What helps me is the thought that yes some might not like what I am saying but the few that do will be very encouraging
My website is going to be published soon by Godaddy.com and I took a long time putting the content together. I actually had to force myself at times because I nervous about seeing it come together online. I dream about becoming a big success with this website and then I sort of feel some fear at it becoming so successful I won’t be able to keep up with it all.
We shall see, eh?
My belief is that TIME is more important than money when it comes to building an online business. For one to be successful, it is very difficult.
I’ve hired Dan before and he was a great help for my personal training sales letter.
However, I still have more to learn…
I believe the secret for my online book based fitness business is building a solid network of Click Bank affiliates. PPC hasn’t paid off and I’ve lost all faith in that method of marketing for my product.
Rich.
